Westside Pumpkin Patches
Hooray for pumpkins and all things pumpkin related (especially those lattes and pies)! It's a pretty solid tradition for most families to head to a patch this time of year to pick out that perfect pumpkin, go in a corn maze, take a hay ride and drink cider (hopefully spiked for the parents). While the westside doesn't have any secret acres of pumpkin farms hidden near the 405, we do have two amazing patches to choose from and a fun farmer's market event.
Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch
This pumpkin patch has been a long time favorite of moms and babies alike and thank the pumpkin gods they moved from the valley right to our westside backyard! If you’re looking for a petting zoo, a straw maze, pony rides, face painting, a big ‘ole slide and more then this is your dream patch. There’s so much to see and do here that the little ones will zonk out hard for their naps later on. Many activities are free but some you’ll need to buy tickets for there. Like all good things in L.A. you can have a VIP experience, valet parking is available and you can purchase tickets online ahead of time.

Cost: Free on weekdays (except for their Sideshow Friday nights 6p.m.-9p.m. adults $10, kids $5). Early bird special on weekends $5 (2+) 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.), and $10 (2+) 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.. Part of the admission fee goes to the purchase of a pumpkin or activity tickets.
Parking: $5 on weekdays, $6 on weekend, valet available.
Shawn’s Pumpkin Patch
Shawn’s Patch is everything a pumpkin patch should be, and in the heart of the westside! Join other families as you explore pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks, a maze, ponies, train rides, a petting zoo and face painting! Call ahead for pricing information and make sure to check their calendar (face painting is only on weekends).

Santa Monica Farmer's Market
Hopefully you've been doing your bicep curls because this all-you-can-carry pumpkin patch day is just around the corner! Santa Monica Farmer's Market has made this an annual tradition and it doesn't disappoint. For a flat fee you can carry out as many pumpkins as your arms can manage. There are many to choose from and costumes are encouraged! We suggest you go early as they go fast and it ends when the last pumpkin has been carried off.

Platform x Au Fudge Pumpkin Patch
This popular patch has a kids tattoo parlor, arts and crafts, a petting zoo and face painting! On Wed. Oct. 12th there will be a toddler French music class and Babytalk LA will be in there (they will also be there the following day on the 13th). On Monday, Oct. 17th there is a facial mask workshop (Mullien & Sparrow $40pp). Grab a pumpkin and the kiddies and head to this exciting patch soon!
